It now very sunny and all manner of Spanish locals are out for their Sunday constructional …from biker jackets to exercise wear. High heels to trainers, old and young, babies in buggies and doggies with sticks, everyone is walking, talking and communing with nature. I admire the Spanish, almost everyone is outside. As told by the hospitelero, the last weeks were cold so with that in the past a little sun now bring everyone out to take advantage. Finally, I’m leaving San SebastiánI had itchy feet. No not from athletes foot but from caminiitis… I feel the urge to walk but my feet are holding me back so another short day . I make a reservation at hostel blai blai .. the hospitelero seems nice already he contacted me to learn of my arrival. Spain, Camino Del Norte: Day 3 Physio – Rest and Recovery in San Sebastián
Yeah I know I just started and crap happens but I expected this so I’m not yet defeated. No training, on crutches and an inability to walk for 8 months has shown it’s an ugly side but it’s just a momentary pit stop…no I’m not quitting and yes I will make it to Santiago de Compostella. What does not kill you makes one more defiant and more determined. Another night in La Serena albergue- great albergue/hostel wonderful staff. Spain, Camino Del Norte: Day 2 Pasajes de San Juan to San Sebastián
Short day today only 6 km but a big hill … having difficulty walking with heel spurricus so I decided to take the bus to the edge of the city then walk the rest of the way this avoiding the hill and rocks. Plan see a physiotherapist get a stretch and massage on heel spurricus and rest a day. Un premieiro sello (the first stamp) So how does it feel?
