Spain, Camino Del Norte: Day 3 Physio – Rest and Recovery in San Sebastián

  • San, Sebastian Spain
  • The Municipal Albergue in San Sebastián

Yeah I know I just started and crap happens but I expected this so I’m not yet defeated. No training, on crutches and an inability to walk for 8 months has shown it’s an ugly side but it’s just a momentary pit stop…no I’m not quitting and yes I will make it to Santiago de Compostella. What does not kill you makes one more defiant and more determined.

Another night in La Serena albergue- great albergue/hostel wonderful staff. This place is clean and organized closed to everything but, of course, it’s on a hill. it has a kitchen and laundry and areas to relax also it’s close to supermarkets and restaurants all downhill of course. But you know what they say what goes down must eventually go back up but it’s not too bad. What a few steps compared to the camino?
One thing though, the albergue is great but has horrible WiFi and no T-Mobile signal on my tablet. I had to beg, borrow in local cafes. At some points, I feel like I’m in a concrete prison as the signals are being blocked by the city buildings and the mountains also. My Verizon is working sporadically so I was able to get directions to the post office and physio. By the way several physios around ( map included) but thru the aid of the Pidiologico office she directed me to the very amazing CEK who did such a fantastic job.

It’s funny but they say you get what you pay for I loved La Serena and the private room however just up the same street further up the…you guessed it….hill….is the fantastic Hotel La Avenida. No more room at the inn I needed a second physio so I had to change lodging enter… bliss!

La Avinedia hotel Amazing hotel and fantastic WiFi…need I say more … nah????
