Spain, 2019 Camino Del Norte: The Plan, Irun to Santiago De Compostela
I’m not sure what is driving me to do it. Spain is beautiful yes, the Camino is refreshing yes, but there is something to be said for the simplicity of walking day to day with all your possessions on your back and nothing to worry about except being in my own headspace, daily walking, a place to sleep and shower and having food to eat. Is it crazy to walk 500 miles with a heel spur on one foot and a knee brace with a bad knee on the other? Feeling encouraged in today’s social media culture: An observation
What do you do if you feel discouraged? Do you find something or someone to encourage you? I think nothing important that’s worth having or doing is ever truly easy. We live in an age of the easy, with instant gratification on many social media platforms. We click and press like and wait for others to also approve what we post. You can easily find 100 people to instantly agree with you. You can get rich instantly, be famous instantly, or get 1,000,000 likes to boost your ego. Equally, one will also find a few nasty apples in the bunch who make it their mission to troll the internet…
