A visit to historic Portsmouth, Southsea and the Isle of Wight, UK.   Portsmouth is known for its historic dockyard and is home to the Royal Navy. So much history and so much to do here. If you are into maritime history this is the place.  The dockyard is populated with well known ships which played pivotal roles in naval history.   Her majesty’s majestic warships such as the HMS warrior the only surviving ship from a significant WW1 campaign, Vice- Lord Admiral Nelsons HMS Victory, the submarine Alliance and the Mary Rose museum  which shows the 400 year hull, a  Tudor relic rest here.
