Episode 6 Coastof Northwest France from Normandy to Brittany

On the GR34 SENTIER LITTORAL in PAIMPOL,SILLON DE TALBERT, SAINT -QUAY PORT D’AMOR, and ERQUY It was another fun filled yet relaxing weekend as the adventure continued along the northwest French coast  from Normandy to Britanny. Traveling along the GR 34, Sentier du Littoral, it was nothing but beach. The summer crowds are gone and it was truly enjoyable. Time for some casual weekend walking, dipping a toe in the water and urging time to pass slowly. This area is know for old battles and oyster farming but in current days I promise you will find calmer waters still with thriving oyster farms and much peace. I recommend this area for…

Episode 5: Simple Pleasures and Continuation Along the Northwest Normandy Coast

Continuing to follow the coast in Northwest Normandy Episode 5 centers around Chemins de Ronde, Concale, San Malo, Sainte Cast Le Guildo and Arromanches Les Blaines and remembering simple pleasures. Taking time to breathe and center ourselves. This area definitely worth a visit in summer but perhaps off season is best if you hate crowds. Wonderful fishing and sailing areas and plenty of places to just relax and take a load off your feet.

Episode 4 Northwest Normandy Coast: Port en Bessin, Pointe Du Roc, Ile Tatihou and Quettehou, Mount St Michel and the Sentier Littoral

For episode 4 I wanted to show you more of the Normandy coast beyond Dives Sur Mer and Caen. The Normandy region is more than what most people know it for, WW2 and of course the war memorials . I am a young retiree (pensioner, to the europeans)  I am officially retried from the military after mandatory service years but I was also injured last 2 years on active duty so this makes me a young retiree. If you is familiar or unfamiliar with military pensions the name automatically suggests it is not a fortune 500 company 401k retirement plan. Military retirement essentially involves a small basic income, lots of daily/ monthly creative budgeting, ingenuity and constantly saving pennies for a rainy day.  Traveling CAN be…

    French Taco?

What is it ? What makes it French? Made by a fast food chain restaurant name O’Taco in France, according to Wikipedia it is a Taco from the Rhône alps region of Lyon created by 2 Moroccon brothers first made popular by mostly young people who loved the sandwich. Well mostly it’s like a panini. In my opinion really a cross between a TacoBell crunch wrap without the crunch or the veggies and a Panini or a real flat burrito with a lot of stuff inside and a ala cart so you can choose what goes inside . You see for yourself in the picture below. I had one this…
