Episode 3 Dives Sur Mer,Houlgate, Cabourg and Caen

In episode 3 I take a closer look at Dives Sure Mer and the surrounding towns of Houlgate and Cabourg and venture to the nearby city of Caen. This trip even in covid times, has been truly amazing.  Filled with history for battles fought and lost, Viking invasions, hopes of Norman conquests, this area moves beyond the memories of Viking raiders and of World War 2 to find the charm and vibrance living and breathing today in the 21st century.  I discovered memories of my Camino backpack and baguettes and  how amazing French traditional (handmade) baguettes are as compared to regular baguettes  ..they are crispier and crunchier on the outside and warm and delicious on the inside….you will have to take my word on this one next time order a traditional baguette. The sun is warm and the breeze is delicious it is just relaxed here….every street corner is a discovery and the people are warm and friendly. Take a look and tell mine what you think.
