Spain, Camino Del Norte: Day 13-16 Laredo

Cold virus or something more sinister? …beach and sleep is the answer

Caught a cold it seems and been fighting it now for a few days and the Cold Eaaz seems to be working a little but as soon as it wears off the coughing and sneezing begins. I seem to be having bad luck this trip or it’s trying to tell me something.I dropped in to Laredo what a nice little beach town. After trying to eat today I felt it was no use, although I tried, I had no appetite so I Bought some cranberry juice and water at the market with some small snacks and walked back to the hotel. I wasn’t thinking about my feet or back or knees any more cyborg turtle was fixed but felt loose —I’ll have to janeguyver it again and heelspurricus was the least of my worries. With spending some days here with rain projected I don’t want to catch pneumonia so forced rest I took some Tylenol cold and settled in. I work up the next day took another one slept some more only to be awakened by a phone ringing to ask if I needed the room cleaned. No door hanging for do not disturb so no complaints I need to go eat.. I walked in the rain, gooed and awed at the beach and the amazing view I walked up to the Casa Ruiloba (cafe bar and restaurant) where I had the best bowl of fish soup with potato I ever had In life.

Recommended by the staff at the hotel it was a perfect choice on the menu of the day along with peppers stuffed with fish delicious but I was stuffed. Now the walk back.. 5 minutes maybe enough to settle the stomach . I’m feeling lazy or it could be the cold medicine. Easter is next week I need to plan oh but I’ll think about that tomorrow
