Bergen and Western Norway
What a beautiful and vibrant city. Bergen is undoubtedly one of my favorite cities. In my eyes Bergen is the jewel of western Norway. This city has everything from ancient Viking history, amazing food and gastronomy, sailing ships, hiking, sport, tourist shops, ancient churches and a surprise around every corner. No visit is complete without seeing the old town (Bryggen) and city center. You will be in love with the open market place in the centrum and the many things to do in and out of the city. Take a ferry boat to Rosendal, or catch the Hurtigruten cruise to explore the north country. Bergen is a must visit if…

Zermatt,Switzerland, the Matterhorn and the end of my trip
Wow what a wonderful place. I don’t even have words to describe it..I did not think I would ever see it. I arrived in Zermatt early in the day and treated by a few tour busses with eager Japanese, Chinese, Indians, and various other tourists from other…

Switzerland’s St. Maurice, Mex and Me, the Mountain Goat
Right now I’m sitting in the mountains above San Maurice 1.5 hrs outside Geneva on the opposite side of the lake, it’s beautiful but it was dreadful steep to get here. I had my full back pack carrying needed items and any food items I will need leaving non needed items behind in my friends car. I’m proud of myself for getting here but I’m having some strange moods here also. First let me say that I loved this mountain and I loved the opportunity to see it up close. I would not change anything because I enjoyed every minute and would do it again if I have the chance.…

Salzburg, Austria
How could I sum this amazing city in one word “su·per·ca·li·fra·gil·is·tic·ex·pi·a·li·do·cious” !!!! Yeah it was that good! Made more famous for the film The Sound of Music, this amazing little city was one of the best places I have visited. Salzburg is definitely one of my favorite things. Normally I would explore on my own but I decided to take the cheesiest tour I could find, yes one that includes all the filming locations for the movie “The Sound of Music”. Fun fact most of the city residents have never seen the movie. The tour did not disappoint, there was singing, and oooing and awwwwing in many languages. This tour ends in the heart…
