Neolithic Monolith Stone Formations of Erdeven and Carnac in Brittany, France
Not to be missed the monoliths are a reminder of our prehistoric past. if you are into history this is a good place to explore. Many tourist see Stonehenge as the premier site to visit for stone formations and although I have not been to that location as yet I will venture to say these sites might give it a run for the money. I went in the off season on a particular rainy day in Brittany ..which is not saying a lot because there a lot of rainy days in Brittany however, with less tourist I felt free to roam about unencumbered by lots of people and unavailable parking. I saw much more of the area and the monolith up close and was able to take more pictures with less interruption or photo bombings. The information center at the main site in Carnac Menac site hosts a gift shop, public restrooms and offer much more information about the area stone formations. But, if you like here is a pre look. Take a day or two to really explore and don’t forget to take and enjoy the coastal drive I promise you will not forget it. This are best seen by car or RV (caravan) but can be done by trekking hiking or by bicycle however the weather is unpredictable so a reliable vehicle is a better option.
